Sometimes people have to leave
Sometimes it is for the best
Sometimes it is not just to bereave
Sometimes it is somewhat of a test
Sometimes it is hard to say goodbye
Sometimes it is painful to let go
Sometimes we don't understand, don't even try
Sometimes there are reasons for it that we do not know
Sometimes we find it impossible to say goodbye to friends
Sometimes it is just as hard as losing family
Sometimes we feel as if we will surely die, watching helpless as this frienship ends
Sometimes there is a good reason-but it is a reason we can never see.

Hmm.
I wrote this on Friday, June 2, 2006. I was listening to Korn's "Here To Stay". I've been going through a lot lately, in more than one way...this poem is pretty self-explanatory. I'm moving soon, so this is basically about leaving all the things you care about, and all the friendships or relationships you've built. I know a lot of the things I write about are cliched, but I write to express what I feel, and we all go through a lot of the same stuff. |
